ROADWORKS IN PROGRESS Duplication of the Pacific Highway between Myall Way, Tea Gardens & Bulahdelah commenced December 2006 and is still in progress. As you can see on the Map the turn off into our road is within the roadworks zone. As such, our directions [below] can be subject to change … at a moments notice! We will endeavour to keep these directions up-to-date on a regular basis, but we do suggest that you re-visit this web-site just before you leave home, or give us a call for an update. UPDATE 17 JUNE 2008 Additional works, involving the construction of a school bus stop and bus turning area, is currently in progress and is impacting on the intersection of the Pacific Highway with Viney Creek Road. This work was supposed to be completed some weeks ago, but the rain [200mm so far this month] has delayed things … a lot! If there are traffic controllers [Stop/Go/Lollipop guys] at the entrance/exit to Viney Creek Road, they will instruct the machinery operators to make a temporary track for incoming and outgoing traffic. Abigroup assure us that the road will be passable for all vehicle types at the end of their working day. Follow the F3 Freeway to the very end. Stay on the Pacific Highway and follow the Taree signs over the Hexham bridge. By-pass Raymond Terrace and also Karuah. 14km (10 mins) North of Karuah (and just after “the Rock”) is the Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest turn off. Don’t turn off, keep following the divided road for another couple of kms. The road narrows and the divided lanes end just before our road. When it narrows to only one lane north bound, slow down as you need to turn left into Viney Creek Road … only about 20m into the single lane. [Road sign is on the right] Lavender Grove Farm is 500 meters along Viney Creek Road on the left. From the North Follow the Pacific Highway through Bulahdelah. Continue for another 25km. You will see a VINEY CREEK sign [no creek, no bridge], then a school bus sign. Turn right into Viney Creek Road about 500m past that. [Road sign is on the left] If you find yourself on the new divided road, you’ve gone too far! There is a U-turn bay 1-200m into the new divided road. Turn around and prepare to turn left into Viney Creek Road … only about 20m into the single lane. [Road sign is on the right] Lavender Grove Farm is 500 meters along Viney Creek Road on the left. . WARNING!! Take care as there are two Viney Creek Roads in Tea Gardens. One near Tea Gardens town and the other west of Pacific Highway ... where we are ... and neither the twain shall meet! So, if you go into Tea Gardens or Hawks Nest before checking in, DO NOT TAKE THE VINEY CREEK ROAD near the Lions Lookout at the top of the hill overlooking Tea Gardens. You must come back out to the highway the same way you came in, turn right and our Viney Creek Road West is 3kms up the road on the left.
